- What is Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation?
Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation is the technique of utilizing Laser, IPL, Microdermabrasion and Botox for
a complete non-ablative rejuvenation. Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation is a non-ablative, non-invasive procedure
– the surface of the skin is not damaged and only the uppermost layer is removed. This technique corrects pigmentation

How does it work?
Intense Pulsed Light is absorbed by pigmented areas where it is converted to heat, causing a breakup
in the pigment. Intense Pulsed Light has also been shown to reduce the size of pores, giving the skin
a more youthful appearance. With broken capillaries and spider veins, the laser energy is absorbed
by the pigment in the blood and collapses the unwanted vein. For wrinkles and skin toning, the Aramis
laser stimulates collagen growth. Microdermabrasion removes the uppermost layer of Dead Skin
and allows the Youthful appearing skin underneath to shine through. Botox is used to provide a more
rapid Anti-Wrinkle effect to the skin. It take about 4-6 months to appreciate the Anti-Wrinkle effects
of Laser therapy. Botox happens to last 4-6 months. By the time your Botox starts to wear off,
the Anti-Wrinkle effects of the Laser treatments start to show.
-
When will you see results?
Effects are cumulative. After the first treatment you will see improvements to broken capillaries,
small facial veins and some pigmented areas within a few days. Botox starts to exhibit its effects
after 3-5 days and reaches its maximal therapeutic effect at 14 days. Friends may suggest that you
look more rested. With each subsequent treatment, subtle changes will accumulate until you have achieved
the improvement you desire.
-
How often can you have it done?
A series of five Laser / IPL/ Microderm treatments, performed over a 5 month period, is our standard
recommendation. Botox is injected at the start of the series. Periodic occasional maintenance
treatments may be prescribed for optimal, lasting results.
-
What can you expect immediately post-treatment?
Immediately following the procedure you may experience some redness, swelling and/or a slight darkening
of pigmented areas. The redness and swelling usually dissipate within one to three days however, darkened
pigmentation may persist and peel lightly for up to one week. Makeup can be applied to the treated
area immediately, if necessary. Additionally, hair growth may be impaired in the treated area, although
it is not the intended purpose of this particular treatment. It is extremely important to apply Sun
Block and avoid sun exposure on a daily basis to prevent additional sun damage.
-
How long does it take?
This treatment takes approximately 30-60 minutes. Prescribed topical anesthetic is applied 30-60
minutes before the treatment time if needed.
